North Carolina based band MAGI was founded in 2011 by Brandon Helms of From Oceans To Autumn and Mountains Among Us fame. At first starting out as a metal/drone project, it quickly evolved into a full band profile. MAGI released their first ep titled “33rd Degree” in April of 2011 and their 2nd ep “December” later that same year. In the Summer of 2014 the band began recording their new songs and that’s when their blend ofatmospheric doom metal and post-metal begun to take shape, recommended to fans of YOB, Rorcal and Jesu.
